Vi-Ability seeks a new Chief Executive:

Vi-Ability seeks a new Chief Executive who will lead the social enterprise in its mission to equip young people with business and employment skills to address youth unemployment in the UK, whilst also transforming struggling community sports clubs into viable businesses and thriving community hubs.

As Chief Executive you will lead the development of an exciting new phase, overseeing a programme that will increase the scale of our operations and impact across the UK, improving lives and strengthening communities.

One of the UK’s leading social enterprises, Vi-Ability’s multi-award winning approach gives young people readily transferable skills and real workplace experience. It was named UK Social Enterprise of the Year in 2015 and has been commended by the UK Prime Minister for its work. Vi-Ability has consistently helped 75% of those who enter its programmes into sustainable employment.

As first in command, you will be responsible for setting a new strategic direction for Vi-Ability as well as ensuring its smooth day-to-day running, ensuring that we provide programmes of the highest quality, alongside consistent learning experiences for young people across the UK. The position will require you to develop and support the team of 10 staff members who are spread across both the Wales, London and Ireland hubs.

This role will suit someone with an affinity to sport and the transformative effect it can have on young people and communities. If you believe you can make an active contribution to the continued development of Vi-Ability and help improve thousands of young lives through sport then we look forward to receiving your application.
