The Sports Recycling Project is being supported by Tesco’s Llandudno Junction store! Members of the Vi-Ability project team will be at the store on August 13 and 14, to raise awareness of the scheme and generate donations.
Project Manager Colin Davies said "We’re very grateful to Tesco for allowing us to promote this project in their store. It’s a great opportunity to let people know what it’s about and how they can help local young people get involved in sport. The bursary can provide anything from equipment and kit to club membership fees. It would be a great pity if a talented individual missed out just because their family was unable to meet the costs.
We ask anyone who will be shopping at Tesco Llandudno next Thursday and Friday, to have a look in their cupboards and bring along any sports clothing and equipment they might never use again. I can assure them that the money raised will be put to good use.
Clothing does not have to be branded but if it is, all the better! If they have anything they would like to donate, a t-shirt, tracksuit bottoms for example, we would be very happy to receive it."
