Run The Club programme

The ‘Run the Club’ Programme teaches key commercial skills to young people, so they can help turn struggling local sports clubs into thriving financially stable businesses; which ultimately have a positive benefit for the whole community.  This programme introduces young people to the commercial management of sports clubs while supporting them to make a positive difference to their local community through social action. The eight-week Vi-Ability programme has a range of awards and qualifications embedded within including a Level 2 BTEC Award in the commercialisation of Football.

It has run successfully at clubs in Wales & England including English Premier League clubs such as Swansea City and West Ham.

It's an opportunity to develop a broad range of skills from Community engagement to enterprise and Marketing. There is a mixture of group activities and a 1-1 support environment, where pathways are put in place to help individuals achieve their aspirations, to which 75% of these individuals have gone on to secure positive outcomes and 95% achieved at least two recognised qualifications and five soft skill outcomes. Read about Ben's journey with us.
