Vi-Ability will be moving forward a partnership with the St Matthews Project in Lambeth following an initial pilot programme. Over the next year Vi-Ability will look to work with the St Matthews Project as a Vi-Able Club, this includes running four work based learning programmes, aiming to support local young people, not in employment or education into work via social enterprise and voluntary activity.
If you are aged 16+ and live in Lambeth and not in work or employment and would like to get involved then please get in touch!
Shelley Meyern, Operations Manager, said "We are delighted that following a successful pilot programme that we can continue the work we have started with the St Matthews Project, there is so much scope to extend the reach of the Project via our Vi-Able Club Programme and for this Project to become a hub within the Borough. We are also keen to ensure as many Lambeth residents as possible get the opportunity to take part in the programme with a view of engaging them in volunteering and supporting them into work by using the Business of Sport as the hook. We are excited as to what the year ahead will bring!"
